Overhaul         

What might be the reasons for a bike not starting? There might be some fault with the spark plug... there might be no petrol in the bike...or maybe, the key is not inserted in the lock! Well, that is what Overhaul is all about. We provide you with faulty machines and you got to find the reasons causing the problems and rectify them! Problem solving, logical skills and some Mechanical Engineering concepts are likely to be tested here.

Structure of the event:

1. All teams must report at the correct time for the overhaul event,late entrants will not be allowed,they may attract penalty if allowed.Time indicated   may be revised as decided by the organizers.Before start of events participants may clarify any guidelines.

2. Marks allotted for overhaul are as follows:

a. Objective paper                      : 15 marks

b. Assembling of Machine part       : 20 marks

c. Fault finding in machine drawing : 15 marks

Total                              : 50 marks

3. Teams must complete the event within the time allotted for that event and also complete all the events as directed.No items such as calculators,mobiles,books,literature or any supportive items deemed as banned articles by the organizers will be allowed in the competition arena.Discussions between any two teams are banned during the entire duration of overhaul event.

4. Based on the marks scored out of 50,three top teams will be declared winners in order

5. In assembling event the marks will be alloted based on the number of parts correctly and completely assembled and time taken for the assembly.

6. A group of 3 registered participants from the same college only shall be allowed to form a team

7. Decision of the Judges' will be final and binding.
