SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka is totally managed by Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society, Ujire (D.K) Regd. under the leadership of Revered Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shrikshetra, Dharmasthala, as its President. Over the years, the society has created in excess of FIFTY different establishments and organizations devoted to service of mankind in several parts of Karnataka and continue to engage and grow in this Nobel activity. The College which was established in December 1979 has today 10 academic departments to its credit. The college has obtained accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA] New Delhi, for all its 7 B.E Programs operated today. The institution which has grown in stature to one of the nationally acclaimed premier institution for technical education of the India. The college was ranked 91st among top 100 engineering colleges in India in July 17th, 2006 edition of Outlook Magazine. In the July 11th 2007 edition of Outlook Magazine, the college ranked 31st best private Engineering College of India. As per the survey conducted by CSR-GHRDC Engineering College Survey 2009, the college was adjudged 28th best private Engineering College.

It needs firm resolve , articulate planning , implementation and most importantly innovative solutions.As the future technocrats of this country we are equally responsible for the development of technologies which tackle the problem of rising carbon emissions in a novel way.We at  S.D.M College of Engineering and  Technology believe that if change has to take place it should start HERE and right NOW !!In today’s scenario wherein inventions are seldom environment friendly and monitory gains occupy a higher precedence over responsibility towards environment, going green is everyone’s responsibility.
